Job Title: Vice President, Tax

The Vice President of Tax is a critical role at Dollar Tree, responsible for driving the company's tax strategy and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. This position requires a strong leader who can manage a team of tax professionals and provide strategic guidance to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liability and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage a team of tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate tax returns, and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external tax advisors and consultants to ensure the company receives expert tax advice.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and provide guidance to the organization on how to comply.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant area.
  • CPA Certification.
  • 15+ years of industry or public accounting experience.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax law.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and ASC 450.
