Radiology Operations Manager

Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Radiology to ensure effective diagnosis and treatment of disease in a cost-effective and value-driven environment.

The Operations Manager will provide leadership and direction in accordance with organizational and departmental philosophy and goals, working closely with the Radiology Director and other Radiology managers to maintain the highest level of clinical/operational performance and customer satisfaction in Radiology Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a Department Plan, complete with Long and Short-term objectives, to align with Mary Washington Healthcare's goals and objectives.
  • Meet annual operating budget requirements by analyzing statistical information and taking action as needed.
  • Define and provide quality services within the scope of care/services, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Recruit, select, evaluate, delegate, and motivate Associates, demonstrating a commitment to professionalism and lifelong learning.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and assure compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures, guiding and supporting the provision of services.
  • Develop and implement teamwork initiatives to foster effective planning, teamwork, mutual respect, collaboration, and integration of services with other departments and physicians.
  • Participate in Radiology Administration on call on a rotational basis and perform other tasks as required by the Director of Radiology.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. CRA certification preferred. Registered in Radiologic Technology by the ARRT or an appropriate credentialing agency such as the RDMS (Ultrasound) or CNMT (Nuclear Medicine). Five relevant supervisory experiences required.
