Position Overview:We are in search of a Curriculum Program Coordinator for the M1/M2 Basic Science Curriculum.
The selected candidate will collaborate with a dedicated team of course leaders, educators, and administrative staff to effectively deliver and oversee the basic science curriculum for medical students.
- Organize pre-enrollment tasks and orientation events for incoming students.
- Work alongside course leaders to ensure seamless implementation and management of courses. Take charge of daily course operations, including scheduling sessions, assigning spaces, managing educational resources, and providing technology support.
- Regularly convene course management meetings to ensure timely completion of all administrative responsibilities. Set priorities for each course, identify actionable items, and establish timelines for their execution. Keep course leaders informed about progress and updates.
- Collaborate with course leaders to design accurate course schedules.
- Manage learning management systems for all basic science courses, ensuring proper organization and timely access to materials for students.
- Maintain and update student enrollment records, working with course leaders to assign students to relevant activities and groups.
- Act as the primary liaison for faculty, students, and staff regarding administrative inquiries related to the basic science curriculum. Engage with all stakeholders in a professional and responsive manner.
- Identify potential challenges in course management, explore solutions, and seek assistance when necessary.
- Coordinate regular meetings for course faculty and ensure timely distribution of meeting materials.
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of assessments across the basic science curriculum. Maintain proficiency in examination administration platforms and support exam processes in other curriculum areas as needed.
- Supervise examination processes for all years of the undergraduate medical education program.
- Securely archive graded assignments and assessments for each basic science course, and assist in the organization of grading committees.
- Collaborate with the evaluation and assessment team to coordinate the review of basic science courses and provide feedback to faculty.
- Engage in quality enhancement initiatives, including meeting coordination, identifying improvement strategies, and implementing changes.
- Oversee curriculum databases and ensure proper archiving of course materials.
- Support course leaders in completing curriculum mapping for basic science courses.
- Assist with procurement for curriculum resources and maintain an inventory of necessary supplies. Support payment processes for other curriculum areas as requested.
- Aid the educational administration team in developing and documenting standard operating procedures for administrative tasks.
- Serve as the administrative supervisor for the Basic Science Education Specialist, assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing necessary training and feedback. Complete human resource processes as required.
- Manage room reservations within the College of Medicine, ensuring appropriate spaces for educational activities and other stakeholder needs.
- Attend and support special events related to medical education as required.
- Undertake special projects and other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and one year of experience; OR an associate's degree with three years of experience; OR a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational skills, exceptional communication abilities, and experience in medical education are highly preferred.
Salary: $55,000 annually.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional extended hours as needed.
