Defense Satellite Communications System SME

Auria is seeking a highly skilled Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD. As a key member of our Wideband SATCOM Operations and Technical Support II (WSOTS II) contract, you will provide technical assistance, analysis, and training support for DSCS satellites and the Replacement Satellite Configuration and Control Element (RSCCE) payload control subsystem.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support and analysis services to payload controllers conducting command and control of DSCS communication payloads.
- Develop and implement procedures to identify and resolve complex satellite anomalies and performance analysis.
- Support the generation of special data collections to assist in satellite testing, anomaly analysis, and other data required to support Wideband MILSATCOM operations.
- Holds a U.S. Government TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Specific experience in RSCCE operations at a Wideband SATCOM Operations Center (WSOC).
- Ability to isolate and resolve complex problems, identify workarounds, and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- DoD M IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+).
- Working knowledge of RMF and cybersecurity requirements.
- Previous experience supporting DoD/government customers.
- Demonstrated ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
