Job Description

The Technology Specialist is a key member of Axens North America's Technology and Technical Support Department. This role supports Axens' technologies and catalyst offers within the Americas region, providing technical expertise to Axens' clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical know-how for technologies of specialization.
  • Apply and maintain internal design standards consistent with the most updated tools and processes within Axens.
  • Develop and present technical projections for replacement of existing and supply of new catalysts.
  • Participate in the development, presentation, and follow-up of technical proposals and studies in support of evaluation by clients of Axens technologies and integrated solutions.
  • Support Commercial team for the development of commercial proposals for Axens Americas ROC Catalyst & Absorbent and Process Licensing businesses.
  • Provide after-sales technical service to Axens clients, ensuring safe and successful commissioning of new units, monitoring clients' units and catalysts performances, and building long-term relationships with clients.
Requirements
  • BS, MS, or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or relevant discipline required.
  • Four or more (4+) years of experience in the petrochemical and/or refining industry.
  • Knowledge in chemical engineering fundamentals, including reaction engineering, catalyst, and general chemistry required.
  • Experience with PRO/II simulation software (or similar) is preferred, experience in Excel-based modeling tools required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and build relationships.

  • Assist in achieving Site, Department, Regional, and Global Quality Management Program goals and objectives.
