Job Overview:
The Janitor plays a crucial role in ensuring that the facilities are well-maintained and presentable. This position involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks aimed at keeping the premises in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the building and grounds.
- Perform vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of floors.
- Ensure restrooms are cleaned and stocked appropriately.
- Secure all entrances and exits after hours.
- Address spills promptly using the correct equipment and safety measures.
- Carry out minor repairs as needed.
- Report major repair needs to supervisors.
- Collect and dispose of waste efficiently.
- Complete tasks promptly with minimal oversight.
- Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and restock as necessary.
- Collaborate with external cleaning services when required.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a similar role is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Capability to perform minor repairs.
- Basic math skills are necessary.
- Proficient in the safe use of various cleaning supplies.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
