About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented 5am Inventory Operations Specialist to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a key member of our inventory control team, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory counts, ensuring that our members receive the best possible shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Asset Protection Supervisor in maintaining workflow and count processes.
- Operate a forklift and work in tandem with inventory control team members to provide exceptional member shopping experience.
- Conduct, organize, and validate inventory counts, sorting damaged and RTV, reducing salvage, obtaining return authorizations from vendors, and re-wrapping sellable merchandise.
- Work cross-functionally within departments to complete related merchandise counts and inventory control responsibilities.
- Carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned, supporting the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance.
- Act with honesty and integrity, leading with the member in mind to address all concerns and escalate any concerns as appropriate.
- Ensure a safe and positive environment for our members and each other.
- Embrace inclusion and diversity, working together with collaboration and respect to achieve goals.
- Maintain a friendly and positive attitude.
Requirements
- Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- At least 18 years of age.
Work Environment
- Most of the time is spent moving about on hard surfaces.
- Frequently requires bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, stooping, and climbing ladders/step stools.
- Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds.
- Exposure to both indoor and outdoor temperatures, as well as occasional exposure to extreme temperatures in freezers and coolers.
- Frequent exposure to hazardous material.
Compensation
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $16.75.
