At ForceMetrics, we're on a mission to revolutionize the way public safety agencies and community services engage with each other. Our data search and analytics platform synthesizes and enriches law enforcement datasets to identify optimal activity patterns and improve officer effectiveness and resource planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop web application software in React and Python (Django)
  • Build and fine-tune Elasticsearch queries to optimize search results
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure software stability and scalability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products
  • Develop deep familiarity with the ForceMetrics platform and its unique uses and advantages for solving real-world public safety and societal problems
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Strong desire to collaborate with others and contribute to a dynamic team
  • Ability to receive feedback and grow professionally
  • Proficiency in Javascript and Python, with experience in CSS, Bootstrap, Tailwind, or Material Design
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Experience building single-page web applications using Javascript libraries like React, Next.js, Vue.js, etc
Preferred Qualifications
  • Early-stage tech startup experience
  • Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of many
  • Past exposure to law enforcement, public safety, or similar data systems
  • Computer Science or Engineering degree from a 4-year accredited university
  • Advanced Elasticsearch experience building search queries and aggregations
