Job Summary

At Intermountain Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled Maternal Fetal Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound examinations under the direction of a physician to identify abnormalities and aid in patient diagnosis.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation for exams.
  • Utilize proper imaging techniques to produce timely, safe, and high-quality diagnostic exams.
  • Demonstrate proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department.
  • Complete and annotate medically acceptable exams, following ACR guidelines, to produce maximum diagnostic information in minimal time.
  • Follow protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charging, as well as obtain consents and document events for quality and safety.
  • Exhibit good safety practices in body substance protection, cleaning of equipment, and sterile techniques.
  • Thoroughly and accurately complete all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
Requirements
  • ARRT registry with successful completion of ARDMS physics and vascular registry or ARDMS Registry with successful completion of one additional registry beyond the requirement for US I (for a total of 2+ registries, options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, and vascular).
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ultrasound experience.
