Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Sentara Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Obstetrics and Gynecology department. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN to join our team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care, adhering to the level of verified competency dictated by the site-specific program.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to support and communicate effectively with other licensed independent practitioners (Physicians, NP, PA) in providing care and treatment for patients.
  • Manage responsibilities of workload with accuracy, providing excellence in customer service, and performing testing, medication administration, and implementing nursing interventions and care plans to support a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Serve as a patient advocate in the prevention of illness or disease.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of healthcare experience required.
  • Diploma in Nursing or Trade School Graduate in Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) RQI.
  • LPN Single State Nursing License in North Carolina or Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP).
