About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Signals Processing Engineer to join our team at Sigma Defense Systems Inc. As a key member of our Research and Development team, you will work on signals theory and application in data and machine-learning contexts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explore math and theory connecting signals and machine learning
  • Generate artificial signals
  • Identify challenge areas in signals
  • Creatively propose information-driven approaches to signals problems
  • Creatively develop ways of applying software-defined radio
  • Apply or develop proficiency in SDR software and/or hardware
  • Creatively leverage low-end hardware to approximate high-end hardware
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience with a combination of research and application
  • Proficient in a subset of Python, R, C/C+
  • Proficiency with math and theory of digital signals
  • Familiarity with software-defined radio hardware and software
  • On-site reporting requirements once per quarter
  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering
  • Master's Degree is a plus
