RailPros is seeking a highly skilled Rail Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and development of rail infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings, plans, and layouts for rail infrastructure and other related components.
  • Apply your knowledge of rail design principles to solve complex engineering challenges, including track alignment, drainage, utilities, at-grade crossings, and earthwork design.
  • Collaborate with rail engineers across the country to provide technical support in the development of rail projects, ensuring design meets quality and client standards.
  • Collect and analyze data relevant to rail projects.
  • Work closely with multi-discipline teams, including engineers and project managers to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with design requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure plans are technically compliant and meet client standards.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in CAD software (MicroStation, InRail) is required.
  • OpenRail experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of rail industry regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a national team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Engaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
  • 2-3 years' experience preferred.
  • EIT required.
