Job Summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a highly skilled Budget Analyst to join the School of Medicine Finance Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level financial acumen, detailed financial analysis, and practical experience in fund accounting. Your expertise will drive data-based decision-making and lead the financial planning and analytics of the Office of the Dean.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the general fund (Fund 10) and Shared Services financial planning & support, including participating in the development of the annual School of Medicine Budget.
  • Collaborate with SOM HR, IT, Faculty Affairs, and other School administrative units to promote transparency, communication, and efficiency in processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Shared Services leadership on annual planning, business development initiatives, annual rate strategy, planning, and setting.
  • Develop and enhance Share Services monthly financial reporting processes.
  • Actively contribute to the SOM Dean's Office administrative unit's commitment to the enhancement and efficiency of internal processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Expert-level financial acumen and detailed financial analysis.
  • Practical experience in fund accounting and financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and a proven track record of leveraging data to inform and guide business strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Work Environment

This role is expected to work onsite 4 days a week and is located in Aurora, Colorado. Once proficiency has been attained, leadership may convert the position to a more flexible hybrid model.
