Electromechanical Technician

Are you a proficient Electromechanical Technician prepared to tackle the challenge of maintaining a cutting-edge automated material handling system in a high-energy distribution environment? We seek a committed professional who prioritizes safety, excels in optimizing system performance, and is adept in both electrical and mechanical tasks.

As an Electromechanical Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Approaching all tasks with a safety-first mindset, ensuring the well-being of yourself and your colleagues.
  • Enhancing system performance and minimizing downtime through effective maintenance practices.
  • Engaging in a diverse range of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Assisting the production team with basic fault correction, coaching, and troubleshooting.
  • Supporting the installation of new components or the refurbishment of existing system elements.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives through comprehensive system knowledge and site-specific enhancements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in industrial technology or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in a relevant electrical and/or mechanical role is required; five (5) years or more is preferred.
  • Strong skills in electrical systems (3-Phase, 480V, DC, and 24V controls) and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical aspects of drive technology (motors/gears).
  • Knowledge of control technology (PLC/controls/inverters).
  • Understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical measurement techniques.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary system monitoring software.
  • Experience in maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
  • Working at heights while using fall-arrest gear and other personal protective equipment.
  • Lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
