Position: Armed Campus Security Officer
***DRUG SCREENING REQUIRED***
Location: Milken Community School
***Flexible Shift Availability Required***
Hours: Vary based on shift requirements. Seeking candidates who can work during both daytime and evening hours.
***Additional hours may be available through participation in school events or assignments at other locations.***
***Holidays: Security services are operational 24/7 at this site, and officers will be scheduled for holiday rotations.***
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of the campus environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Perform access control, vehicle inspections, crowd management, traffic direction, emergency response, documentation, and enforcement of school regulations.
- Maintain physical readiness to stand and walk for extended periods.
Qualifications:
- Valid BSIS Guard Card & Exposed Firearms Permit required.
- CPR Certification is mandatory or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Successful completion of a prescreening background investigation.
- Pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Possession of a personal firearm along with all necessary duty equipment (including holster and extra magazines).
Training Provided:
- Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Sexual Harassment Training
- Professional Security Consultants Training
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $20.35 per hour
Work Schedule:
- Shifts may vary according to the school's needs, including weekends and holidays.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year in customer service (Required)
Licenses/Certifications:
- Guard Card (Required)
- Exposed Firearms Permit (Required)
- CPR/First Aid (Must be obtained within 90 days of employment)
Shift Availability:
- Mid Shift: 11 AM - 7 PM
