Job Overview

Role Summary: The Senior User Engagement Systems Engineer is responsible for gathering, documenting, and analyzing usability feedback related to capability development. This role involves collaborating with users and stakeholders to gain insights into their missions, requirements, and vision, fostering a relationship built on trust. The engineer will establish Product Increments, coordinate Release Planning Events, and manage the Sprint Calendar for the Release Train.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and users to comprehend system utilization.
  • Assist in backlog refinement.
  • Create User Interface (UI) prototypes.
  • Facilitate System Demonstrations.
  • Conduct Source Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs).
  • Ensure that workflows, designs, and documentation align with user processes.
  • Communicate updates and changes to the user community.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
  • Extensive experience in facilitating requirements gathering with users and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in conducting Technical Exchange Meetings, working groups, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Strong background in Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
  • Experience in developing, designing, tracing, and documenting workflows in collaboration with clients.
  • Familiarity with SAFe methodology.
  • SAFe certification.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including processes, tools, and languages.
