The Travel Nurse RN role is an essential position within the healthcare team, focusing on delivering high-quality patient care in the operating room environment.
Certification Requirements- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- A valid WI RN License is required.
- Facility: Aspirus Wausau Hospital
- Position: Registered Nurse in the Operating Room
- Weekly Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours
- Location: Aspirus Wausau Hospital, General Team
- Shift: 8-hour variable shifts
- Weekend/Holiday Requirements: On-call for weekends; holiday rotation included
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the operating room, including at least one travel assignment. Experience in a larger facility with comparable operating rooms is essential. Proficiency in both circulating and scrubbing is required, along with Davinci Robotic and Trauma Level II experience.
Traveler RequirementsTravelers must have their own vehicle due to on-call responsibilities and should not rely on rideshare services.
Essential Skills- Required Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, WI RN License
- Unit Specific Skillset: Capable of handling all specialties with an average of 45 cases per day across 21 operating rooms.
- Preferred Skills: Experience in General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, and GI is advantageous.
- We seek a flexible candidate with a strong work ethic who is willing to assist with downtime tasks as needed.
- On-Call Requirements: 6-8 nights of weeknight call and 1-2 weekends during the contract period.
- Response Time: Must be prepared to arrive in the operating room within 30 minutes.
- Number of Operating Rooms: 21
- Average Cases: 40-60 per day
- Radius Rule: Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Aspirus Wausau.
