Job Overview


Insight Global is seeking a skilled Azure Cybersecurity Engineer to support a prominent financial organization in transitioning on-premises applications to the Azure Government Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

The Azure Cybersecurity Engineer will play a crucial role in:

  • Implementing technology initiatives to safeguard the client's cloud infrastructure.
  • Assisting in strategic planning and architectural design to enhance security measures.
  • Identifying security requirements for networks and applications, and executing security controls and protocols.
Focus Areas

The primary focus for this role includes:

  • Enabling Cloud Cybersecurity controls and compliance measures.
  • Developing remediation programs aligned with business priorities and risk assessments.
  • Addressing Cyber-Security, Cyber Defense, and the operational needs of the client.
Work Environment

This position requires on-site presence five days a week in designated locations. The estimated compensation for this role ranges from $80 to $87 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with various Azure security tools and platforms, including:
    • Extended Detection and Response (XDR): Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Defender for Identity.
    • Data Protection: Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Information Protection, DLP, One Trust, Kubernetes.
    • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Zero Trust, Azure IAM, AWS IAM, Entra ID (Azure AD), Multitenant Organization (MTO), Lighthouse, Key Vault, Conditional Access.
  • Experience with government environments and Gov-Cloud.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, and Azure/AWS/Google Security certifications.
  • Familiarity with CrowdStrike Falcon EDR for Azure.
  • Experience managing FISMA and FedRAMP compliance for government information systems.
