Role Responsibilities
As an ISSO, you will:
- Support the implementation of a comprehensive Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance program.
- Assist in obtaining and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) approvals for various systems.
- Engage in the development and management of System Security documentation and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Conduct assessments and audits of system security controls, ensuring continuous monitoring.
This position requires full-time onsite work, emphasizing the importance of in-person collaboration to achieve security objectives.
Key Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- IAM Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570.1M standards.
- A strong desire to learn and adapt to the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to collaborate with various security disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) or relevant cybersecurity roles.
- Knowledge of security policies, technical safeguards, and operational security measures.
- Experience with compliance auditing and certification of systems across different platforms.
- Proficiency in using compliance and vulnerability scanning tools.
