Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Sales Associate to join our team at Weis Markets. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and experience while shopping for fresh produce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized produce department, including rotating stock to ensure freshness and ensuring that product is properly priced and signed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving concerns in a polite and professional manner.
  • Assist in building attractive displays and maintaining the salad bar and cut fruit/vegetable as needed.
  • Accurately complete necessary product logs and handle spoiled and damaged product according to company policy.
  • Responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist in minimizing shrink and controlling damages, reporting shortages and overages to management.
  • May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries, as well as baling cardboard and other related duties if properly trained.
  • Ensure smooth function of the department and store by cooperating with co-workers and superiors, and continuously improving job performance.
Requirements
  • Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • No prior experience required.
