Position Overview

Core Responsibilities

· Execute a diverse range of technical Nuclear Medicine tasks, necessitating independent judgment and creativity

· Utilize appropriate Nuclear Medicine expertise to aid in diagnostic processes

· May undertake autonomous duties as designated by the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager

· Ensure the proper care of patients in alignment with departmental and hospital protocols

· May oversee specific areas, providing guidance or training to Nuclear Medicine staff as directed by the Operations Manager or Lead Technologist

· Adhere to infection control and body substance isolation practices in compliance with departmental and hospital regulations and OSHA standards

· Uphold patient confidentiality at all times

· Demonstrate proficiency in operating PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems

· Show capability in operating and troubleshooting CR, DR, and PACS applications

· Participate in annual mandatory training, including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation

· Maintain departmental competencies as required

· Work hours may vary based on departmental needs.


Qualifications

Experience:

· Minimum of Student Training

Education and Training:

· Completion of a formal AMA accredited Nuclear Medicine Program is required

Licenses, Certifications & Registrations:

· MALIC - Massachusetts Radiology License is required prior to commencement

· ARRT(N)/NMTCB - Certification from the Association of Registered Radiology Technology or as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist

· CPR certification is mandatory.

Other Qualifications

· Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-pressure, demanding environment

· Attendance at all required training sessions is essential.
