Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Feed Mill Management Trainee to join our team at Seaboard Foods. As a Feed Mill Management Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training in feed mill management, supervision, and leadership, preparing you for a supervisory or technical role within our feed mill or feed mill support department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rotating through each area of the mill to gain knowledge of each department
  • Learning and understanding the flow of all materials, incoming and outgoing, and the standard operating procedures of all areas of the feed mill
  • Operating all areas of the feed mill and understanding the automation system
  • Maintaining production targets and quality control, as well as upkeep and sanitation of property, equipment, and vehicles
  • Maintaining collaborative working relationships with supervisors, peers, subordinates, and internal and external customers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year university or college, or equivalent experience and training
  • Coursework or experience in feed milling or manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience or ability to facilitate, encourage, coach, and lead a team to reach set goals
  • Good critical thinking and judgment skills to reach the best possible solution to a problem
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people
  • Flexible and able to work on assigned weekends and be on call at all times of the day and week
