Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our GYN Oncology team at Luminis Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Accurately register and schedule patients, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  2. Manage medical and office supplies, maintaining a well-stocked inventory and adhering to practice standards.
  3. Process clinical supply orders and maintain logs as required by regulatory guidelines.
  4. Administer injections, EKGs, spirometry, and phlebotomy, as instructed by physicians, and provide therapeutic treatments.
  5. Determine patient eligibility for Medicaid EVS and identify referral and preauthorization needs.
  6. Answer office calls, greet patients professionally, and maintain proper telephone etiquette.
  7. Accurately document patient vital signs and medical records, ensuring compliance with electronic health record processes.
  8. Interview, triage, and prepare patients for smooth flow, assist providers in medical examinations, and provide general assistance as needed.
  9. Demonstrate I.C.A.R.E. behaviors to enhance the patient experience.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of clerical/billing experience in a medical office setting.
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant certification.
  • American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification.
Working Conditions

This role requires heavy physical demands, including exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
