About the Role

MaineHealth, the premier health system in Northern New England, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Services Medical Director to lead our new state-of-the-art facility in Mid Coast Maine. As a key member of our team, you will have a leadership role in Medical Director of Senior Services for the new Breakwater Commons nursing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the new skilled and long-term care nursing facility in Rockland.
  • Lead the clinical management and care of approximately 50 assisted living and memory care unit residents at Quarry Hill, a facility in nearby Camden.
  • Collaborate with the MHMG Geriatrics Department to develop and implement optimal care strategies for elderly patients.
  • Work closely with the care team to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Geriatric, Family, or Internal Medicine trained physician with experience caring for patients in the post-acute care setting.
  • Familiarity with state and federal requirements for senior care facilities.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience leading and managing care teams.
