Job Summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' ability to safely and effectively perform daily living activities and provide personalized treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Design and implement treatment plans using a variety of modalities, including exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment.
  • Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate patient discharge.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to certified occupational therapy assistants and technicians as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an acute care or rehabilitation setting.
  • Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
