About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Ascension. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a physical therapist to provide medically prescribed physical therapy to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
  • Provide physical therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
  • Document treatment interventions given.
  • May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.

Requirements

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
