**Job Summary**

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is seeking a skilled Cost Engineer to provide on-site Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for the Engineering and Design Division (D4) of the Design and Construction Business Line (DCBL) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL.

**Responsibilities**

  • Provide independent and professional cost engineering support for planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering/architectural disciplines to ensure coordination and integration with project requirements.
  • Participate in planning, budgeting, designing, and construction of new construction, renovation, and improvement projects.
  • Utilize knowledge of engineering and architecture to evaluate cost estimates and contract change orders.

**Qualifications**

  • Certification as a Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional cost engineering experience for new construction and renovation is required.
  • Completion of a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, or architecture from an ABET or NAAB accredited program, supplemented by hands-on design experience.
  • Professional knowledge and skill in applying engineering/architectural theories, concepts, principles, and computer system applications relevant to construction activities.
  • Proficiency in cost engineering concepts, theories, practices, and techniques for shore-based engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with DoD and Navy cost engineering criteria and policy.
  • Knowledge of laws, codes, and statutory requirements affecting cost engineering design.
  • Understanding of related architectural and engineering fields and their impacts on cost engineering design.
  • Experience with Autodesk software, Microsoft Office products, and cost engineering software.
  • Ability to produce written analysis, consolidate findings, evaluate recommendations, and communicate effectively through oral presentations.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, planning, project management techniques, and team coordination.

**Work Environment**

  • Availability to work on-site during standard 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
