Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Instructional Designer to join our team at Direct Auto Insurance. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for designing and developing creative, effective training programs to meet the specific needs of our retail sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our retail sales team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop curriculum.
  • Design and deliver training content, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training, and on-the-job training.
  • Coordinate and plan overall curriculum development and implementation.
  • Assist with the deployment of compliance training programs.
  • Identify training needs and training gaps in the organization in cooperation with the Regional Training Manager.
  • Create training manuals, toolkits, job aids, and instructional materials.
  • Provide guidance for the instructional design and course development process for online courses.
  • Evaluate the quality of training courses and recommend/implement improvements.
  • Provide input to the Training Strategy and the development of specific training development plans.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI.
  • Work with management to ensure course materials are current and relevant to training needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
  • 2+ years of training experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in Articulate and Rise360.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, refine, and implement sales training programs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to travel 20% or more of the time.
