Location Description:

Our Chaska, Minnesota location is a highly sought-after community known for its excellent school system and picturesque surroundings. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department, ensuring seamless coordination with Production Supervisors, leads, and operators.
  • Coordinate repairs, labor, and resources, as well as requisition repair parts to maintain equipment efficiency.
  • Schedule Union and Non-Union labor for routine and overtime work, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Approve Vacation and PPT requests, promoting work-life balance and employee satisfaction.
  • Provide regular reviews of direct staff, fostering growth and development within the team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  • Supervise maintenance crew members, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Oversee the operation of Boiler and Refrigeration Equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Responsible for forklift maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems, minimizing downtime and optimizing production.
  • Provide a safe work environment for employees, recognizing and addressing potential hazards.
  • Recognize and resolve operating problems, minimizing their impact on operations.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records, including timecards, downtime records, and absentee records.
  • Enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Encourage employee suggestions for improving production, quality, safety, and cost control.
  • Communicate relevant information to employees, ensuring seamless shift transitions and effective teamwork.
  • Communicate process inefficiencies, equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and GMP issues to Production Supervisors and Sanitation Supervisors.
  • Perform general cleaning of equipment and maintain good housekeeping throughout the department, adhering to the daily sanitation checklist.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is maintained.
  • Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including recruiting, training, and developing craftsmen in multiple disciplines.
  • Actively lead or participate in Maintenance Reliability and CI projects.
