Respiratory Therapist Lakeland Hospital

As a Respiratory Therapist at Corewell Health Lakeland, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients of various age groups. You will work under medical direction to perform a wide range of procedures related to respiratory care, including evaluation, management, and therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients to determine their respiratory care needs and make recommendations for treatment.
- Assess the effectiveness of treatment and accurately document patient information according to department and legal standards.
- Perform point-of-care testing as required and complete necessary documentation and billing.
- Facilitate smooth transitions for patients to referral services or home and provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory issues.
- Instruct and train other respiratory care staff, nursing, and medical personnel on patient needs and respiratory care services.
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent clinical education.
- 2 years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep medicine, or equivalent clinical education.
- LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required.
- CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required.
- CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA American Heart Association Regional Hospitals and NICU 90 Days required.
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab 90 Days required.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required.
