About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Howmet Aerospace in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing electrical work and maintenance and repair of all production and facility equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled maintenance activities including construction, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
  • Install electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and other such equipment.
  • Interface with subcontractors in the repair of production and facility equipment.
  • Specify and order required repair parts and supplies.
  • Assure a safe and healthful workplace.
  • Show by example a commitment to employee involvement, participative management, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Trade certificate in electrical, machine/facility maintenance and repair, including machining, motor controls, plumbing, HVAC, and welding.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a manufacturing environment performing machine maintenance and repair.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience and knowledge required.
  • Familiar with the function and operation of a variety of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Ability to read equipment, component, and wiring drawings and schematics.
  • Familiar with Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
  • Fabrication experience required.
  • Welding, HVAC, Plumbing, and PLC experience a plus.
  • Familiar with MS Office suite.
  • Team Player.
  • Takes initiative and follows directions.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.
