Ultrasound Imaging Specialist

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for delivering diagnostic imaging services by capturing radiographs, which are images produced by passing x-rays through a specific area of the body. This role involves positioning patients, taking photographs, and developing the necessary film. The Radiologic Technologist operates under the supervision of a radiologist or physician.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging services, ensuring accurate positioning and exposure settings.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Document services provided in a thorough and precise manner.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Effectively communicate with medical personnel regarding patient care.
- Administer contrast media as required, adhering to legal and safety guidelines.
- Execute radiological tests as assigned, following applicable regulations.
- Initiate emergency protocols as necessary.
- Deliver patient care in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner, preserving the dignity and rights of all individuals.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program recognized by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) or equivalent.
Licensure: Must hold current and unrestricted state licensure, if applicable, along with certification by AART.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as a radiology technologist in a clinical environment is required.
Skills and CertificationsRequired Skills: Proficiency in general imaging, abdomen, OB/GYN, High Risk OB, Nuchal Translucency, Renal/Pelvis, and Guided Biopsy/FNA. Certifications required include BLS and RDMS-OB.
Preferred Skills: Experience with amniocentesis, paracentesis, thoracentesis, vascular imaging (carotid and arterial), and Nuchal Translucency.
