Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist provides critical airway management, administers nebulized medications, and applies oxygen therapy under physician orders. This role involves working with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, requiring effective communication with the healthcare team and physicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory therapy
  • Administer oxygen therapy and nebulized medications as prescribed
  • Manage patient airways and provide secretion management
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

  • 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy (preferred)
  • Associate's degree in respiratory therapy (required)
  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure (required)
  • Basic Life Support certification (required)
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist certification (required within 6 months of program completion)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist certification (required within 12 months of program completion)

Work Schedule

This role requires working 3 days a week with 12-hour shifts, with every third weekend and call requirements.
