About the Role

This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires a team player who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our members. As a Bakery Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing fresh baked items daily, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and providing exceptional customer service to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Player: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicate effectively, and be flexible to meet the needs of the business.
  • Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs, operate baking equipment, follow recipes and make-up instructions, and ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines.
  • Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
  • Be an Owner: Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintain a clean and organized work area, ensure quality and date control standards for bakery items, and secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Be an advocate for the department and the company, value the member's experience, and model high-quality service and products.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
