Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the ICU/Long-Term Acute Care department at Baylor Scott & White Continuing Care Hospital in Temple, TX.
Job SummaryAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in our ICU/Long-Term Acute Care unit. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritize patient needs, and provide education to patients and families.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, identify health issues, and develop care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to provide exceptional patient care and support.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement care plans, adjust plans as needed, and evaluate patient responses.
- Provide education to patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
- Work effectively with colleagues and community to create a care plan, delegate tasks carefully, and follow up promptly.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address patient care challenges and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current and valid nursing license.
- BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.
