Piper Shores, a premier nonprofit continuing care retirement community, offers a unique opportunity for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team in Maine.

As a CNA at Piper Shores, you will serve in our 40-bed Skilled Nursing (Nursing Home) facility, which is top-rated by the US News & World Report and a nationally recognized 5-star facility by CMS.

We offer excellent staff-to-resident ratios and a clean, safe, and friendly work environment.

Available Shifts:

Monday through Thursday: 2p-10p

Monday through Friday: 2p-10p

Monday & Tuesday: 6a-6p

Responsibilities:

CNAs provide compassionate assistance with activities such as bathing, dressing, socializing, and enjoying a meal.

Respond to calls for assistance and elevate care to RN or LPN as needed.

Assist with bed and linen changes.

May assist with 2-person or Hoyer bed lifts.

Encourage participation in events and activities.

Utilize specialized training to communicate with residents experiencing dementia.

Serve as a warm and friendly companion to residents within all levels of care.

Qualifications:

Maine C.N.A. certification required. Piper Shores will sponsor payment of a training program for candidates without a current certification.

Working with a senior population preferred; will provide training to entry-level candidates.

A warm and friendly demeanor with a positive approach to interacting with Seniors and co-workers is required.

Ability to stand and move for extended periods and ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently are required.

All bed lifts are completed using mechanical lifts.
