Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all areas of the building, including but not limited to:
  • Emptying and cleaning waste receptacles and replacing bags as necessary
  • Dusting and mopping hard surfaced floors
  • Thoroughly vacuuming, including all edges of carpeted floors
  • Arranging furniture to its original position
  • Reporting any damage or vandalism to your supervisor
  • Cleaning glass to classroom entrance doors
  • Wet mopping hard floors as weather and usage conditions dictate
  • Dusting exposed horizontal surfaces such as window sills, empty shelves, door casings, and bottoms of furniture
  • Replacing light bulbs as necessary
  • Cleaning all glass
  • Keeping all entrances clean
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Restroom Maintenance:
    • Empting trash receptacles, cleaning as needed, and replacing bag liners
    • Checking and replacing all paper products such as tissue and hand towels as needed
    • Checking and filling soap dispensers as necessary
    • Cleaning and disinfecting sinks, toilet seats, and side panels to stall partitions
    • Cleaning mirrors
    • Cleaning entrance panels to stalls of fingerprints etc

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 1-2 years of experience
  • Requires regular, reliable, and predictable work attendance
  • Ability to operate custodial and maintenance equipment
  • Good knowledge of proper chemical storage use and inventory
  • Skill in maintenance tools and materials

Physical Demands:

  • Extensive time sitting and standing
  • Able to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, and kneel
  • Ability to lift 25-40 pounds
  • Must wear a uniform
  • Exposure to chemical cleaners and pesticides

Salary:

Maximum Salary: USD $33,280.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary: USD $33,280.00/Yr.
