About the Role

Bach to Rock, a leading music school for students of all ages, is seeking a highly skilled and patient Music Teacher to join our team as a part-time employee. As an Early Childhood Music Educator, you will be responsible for creating a fun, educational, and safe environment for young children to explore the world of music.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead B2R's early childhood classes, including Rock n Roll, Rock City, and/or Kids n Keys
  • Prepare and deliver instruction using the Bach to Rock detailed lesson plans and activities
  • Create a warm and welcoming class environment that fosters a sense of safety and belonging among young children
  • Use the recommendations in the B2R curriculum to encourage and educate caregivers who attend class with their toddlers
  • May be asked to assist at B2R events, such as concerts and workshops
Requirements
  • Must have a background in the arts, including theater, art, music, or a related field
  • Must feel comfortable in an active and noisy setting, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to keep a group of students engaged and motivated
  • Ability to interact effectively with both children and adults, including caregivers and parents
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of basic music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts in a developmentally appropriate and age-appropriate manner with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
  • Ability to play a musical instrument, preferably piano, keys, or guitar
  • Must be able to sing a cappella (unaccompanied)
  • Must demonstrate the ability to run basic sound equipment and computers
  • Ability to pass a background check
