Tree Maintenance Specialist

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of trees, including pruning, trimming, and removal using aerial lift equipment. This role requires a high level of physical fitness, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform tree maintenance tasks as directed by the General Foreperson, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
* Collaborate with team members to prepare equipment and materials for daily operations.
* Clear and trim trees and brush away from utility lines; remove branches and tree material.
* Clean up and dispose of all debris safely and efficiently.
* Maintain and keep track of all tools and equipment used in daily operations.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
* Previous aerial lift experience is highly desirable.
* High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Desirable Skills:
* Ability to identify tree species and demonstrate a working knowledge of all knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations.
* Familiarity with electrical hazards and appropriate operating procedures when in proximity to electrical conductors and aerial techniques in the event of an emergency aloft.
* Physical strength, agility, good balance, good depth perception, and ability to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
* Ability to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR;
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
