About the Role

The Cardiologist is a dynamic and flexible individual who is licensed/board certified with experience in noninvasive cardiology and adult echocardiography. This professional will play a key role in providing direct patient care and assessments and be responsible for the ongoing development and quality control of ArchWell Health's echocardiography program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Excellent Cardiovascular Care in an outpatient setting, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Manage Chronic Cardiovascular Diseases by ordering appropriate imaging or lab tests and recommending treatment plans as indicated by patients' clinical needs.
  • Perform Accurate Interpretation of lab tests, EKG, and echocardiograms, providing timely and accurate results to inform patient care.
  • Participate in Population Management of members, working collaboratively with primary care providers to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Assist with Cost Reduction Strategies, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs without compromising patient care.
  • Consult with and Coach Primary Care Providers on management of cardiovascular disease and best practices, promoting high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
  • Review Primary Care Requests for external cardiology referrals and participate in authorization, prioritizing high-quality internal care providers when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with Cardiologists and Clinical Leadership to manage day-to-day operations, participate in meetings for risk and quality management, and improve clinical quality, efficiency, and patient and physician satisfaction.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives within the cardiovascular department, driving continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Exceptional Communication Skills to facilitate patient care, including the ability to foster and cultivate relationships with primary care physicians, center care team members, and staff.
  • Extensive Knowledge of Cardiovascular Disease and evidence-based practices and procedures, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and guidelines.
  • Well-Versed in Echocardiography Guidelines, standards, and practices as dictated by the American Society of Echocardiography.
  • Strong Analytical Skills to handle complex clinical and administrative scenarios, making informed decisions to optimize patient care.
  • Experience with Conflict Management and Resolution, navigating challenging situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Personable, Tactful, and Professional Demeanor, embodying the values of ArchWell Health and serving as a role model for colleagues.
  • Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record Charting and teleconferencing, including telehealth patient encounters, to provide seamless and efficient care.
  • Ability to Work Remotely full-time in a HIPAA-compliant setting, ensuring the security and confidentiality of patient information.
Education and Experience
  • MD or DO in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with a strong foundation in cardiovascular disease and echocardiography.
  • Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Adult Echocardiography, demonstrating expertise and commitment to excellence in the field.
  • Current, Unrestricted, Active License to Practice Medicine, ensuring the ability to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Current DEA Registration, adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
  • Proficient PC Skills, with experience using electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
  • Embodies and Serves as a Role Model of ArchWell Health's Values, including compassion, excellence, trust, respect, resilience, and doing the right thing.
