General Physician, P.C. is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in Hamburg, NY.
About the Role:The RN position involves working on the triage desk, serving as a liaison between providers and patients, and performing telephone triage of patients. The successful candidate will also assist with medication management, maintain a safe work environment, and deliver exemplary customer service.
Responsibilities:- Assess patient needs and communicate health information
- Perform telephone triage of patients
- Follow service line initiatives to avoid unnecessary hospital re-admissions
- Assist with medication management
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment
- Complete prior authorizations for medication and diagnostic services
- Monitor incoming documents and assist with the completion of necessary forms
- Assist with examination and in-office treatment
- Enter orders into the EMR system
- Deliver exemplary customer service
- Applicable NY State license
- Two-year degree preferred
- Proven work experience in a healthcare facility preferred
- Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Codes, CPR Certification, and strong clinical skills preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to utilize computer programs
