Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Della Infotech. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiological procedures, utilizing various imaging equipment to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures by acquiring and processing patient exams in accordance with accrediting bodies and/or manufacturer guidelines.
  • Review cases with the radiologist when appropriate, and review labs and patient history to perform correct exams.
  • Administer IV contrast and oral/rectal contrast when necessary, and recognize and respond to any adverse reactions or allergic reactions.
  • Screen patients for the possibility of pregnancy and perform pregnancy testing if applicable.
  • Review radiology orders for completeness and accuracy, and take steps to acquire additional information if needed from the patient, ordering provider, and/or radiologist.
  • Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment.
  • Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness, and transfer and verify image data in PACS.
  • Utilize web servers and email systems to send exams for preliminary readings after hours.
  • Maintain imaging equipment and workplace environment, including supply inventories and the orderliness of the work area.
  • Recognize malfunctions and service needs, and report service needs in a timely manner.
  • Ensure patient, visitor, and environmental safety, and report safety events immediately, including those that are a near miss.
  • Assist in the instruction of students and new staff as necessary, and may perform duties of Rad Tech Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence.
  • Meet productivity levels as established by department benchmarking, and assist other areas during downtimes to maintain productivity.
  • May be required to perform duties of other modalities within the department to which licensers are held by the technologist/sonographer.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in a related field, or Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
  • IEMA Radiography License, Illinois, and Radiography (R)(ARRT) certification.

Nights, Friday and Saturday, 7:00PM-7:30AM.
