Job Summary

The Senior Pharmacist in our Infusion Service will lead the development of expertise in neurology treatment areas, working closely with ordering providers and infusion teams. This role combines direct patient care, education, and administrative responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy, be eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in Massachusetts, and possess at least 2 years of clinical pharmacist hospital practice experience preferably in infusion services.

Key Responsibilities

* Review infusion orders and therapy plans to ensure all drugs are appropriately indicated, effective, safe, and convenient for the patient.
* Ensure timely scheduling of infusion appointments and coordinate with the Prior Authorization team regarding denials as needed.
* Provide support to providers to reduce payor denials, including completing peer to peer calls, drafting letters of medical necessity, and appealing denials with insurance companies.
* Maintain proficiency by reviewing literature, attending in-services, seminars, and conferences, and actively participate in departmental and infusion-based clinical meetings as requested.
* Other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
