Role Summary
As part of our expanding security team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our operations against a dynamic array of threats. Our vehicles operate in diverse environments, and your expertise will ensure the integrity and reliability of our drones, data, and platform. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing automated security solutions for both our drones and associated ground systems.
- Conducting thorough reviews of engineering designs and code to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
- Participating in a rotating on-call schedule to address security incidents as they arise.
- Evaluating compliance with established security standards, such as NIST or ISO 27001.
- Conducting security assessments through various methods, including penetration testing and tabletop exercises.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Five to eight years of progressive experience in the industry.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages from the following: Python, C/C++, TypeScript, along with one additional language.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
- Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Amazon Web Services.
- Prior experience in security roles, including but not limited to software security, network security, or cloud security.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master's degree in a related engineering field.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) standards and cryptographic applications.
- Familiarity with IoT or robotics systems, including firmware and real-time operating systems.
- Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
Work Environment
- Regular computer use while seated or standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for domestic and international assignments.
