Key Responsibilities- Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
- Conduct machine safety checks and report any unusual findings to the registered nurse or supervisor.
- Obtain necessary pre and post-treatment vital signs and weight, and perform vascular access evaluation.
- Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and monitor patients' response to therapy.
- Document patient information and treatment data accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must meet Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification requirements.
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
