RN Supervisor

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Full Time RN Supervisor for our PM shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pediatrics, Geriatrics, and Intellectual Disabilities, with experience working with ventilator units.

The RN Supervisor will be responsible for providing continuity of supervision and operation of the facility during the PM shift, ensuring that facility policies are followed and quality of care is maintained.

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
• Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
• Patient, tactful, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm

• Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
• Ability to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, visitors, personnel, and support agencies

• Make facility rounds on each floor and lower level
• Notify appropriate personnel regarding immediate concerns, communicate all concerns to the Administrator
• May initiate discipline, to be reviewed by appropriate Department Head/Administrator, after investigating situation
• Handle walk-in visitors requesting a facility tour or visit
• Perform other related duties as assigned
