Become a Great Lakes advocate and join the Alliance for the Great Lakes in our mission to protect the fresh, clean, and natural waters of the Great Lakes. As an Alliance Ambassador, you will receive training on the Great Lakes and how to effectively advocate for their protection.

Our Alliance Ambassadors are equipped with the knowledge and skills to make a real difference in the Great Lakes region. They learn about the latest issues affecting the lakes, such as plastic pollution, invasive species, and water infrastructure, and are empowered to take action through presentations, tabling, and social media outreach.

As an Alliance Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Give presentations to community, youth, and business groups about the Great Lakes and the threats they face
  • Table at community events to raise awareness about the Great Lakes and the Alliance
  • Share information and spread awareness on social media
  • And more

The Alliance for the Great Lakes is committed to supporting our Ambassadors every step of the way. We provide all necessary supplies and event preparation, and reimburse for event costs, such as parking.
