Key Responsibilities:
- Guide, motivate, and assist patients in enhancing their functional abilities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Monitor patient progress during treatments and compile data on their responses to therapy.
- Fit and instruct patients on the use of orthopedic devices and supportive equipment.
- Collaborate with physical therapy staff and other healthcare professionals to plan and adjust treatment programs.
- Provide orientation and guidance to new Physical Therapist Assistants and supervise Physical Therapy Technicians.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification as per American Heart Association standards.
