Job Summary:
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Round Rock Medical Center. As an ICU RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment.
About the Role:
This 26-bed mixed acuity unit is equipped to care for both Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care (IMC) patients. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, and we are seeking a nurse who shares our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with cardiovascular and medical conditions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication, and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least one year of ICU RN experience, with a preference for two years or more.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain within six months).
