Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in public or private institutions. You will be responsible for conducting basic hygiene and nursing care, administering prescribed medications, and providing patient education.
Responsibilities:- Organize and provide necessary healthcare services consistent with CCHCS policies and procedures.
- Conduct basic hygiene and nursing care, including administration of prescribed medications and therapeutic treatments.
- Collect information regarding patient status and report results to the Primary Care Provider (PCP) or RN in a timely manner.
- Provide patient education and accurately document care in the approved format.
- Administer and assist with therapeutic measures and treatments.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing as ordered.
- Assist the RN and PCP with clinic appointments, including physical exams and minor surgeries.
- Participate in the training of patients in activities of daily living and assist in routine treatments.
- Document nursing care and treatment provided and patient response in the patient health record.
- Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution.
- Possess a current and valid license issued by the California State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners.
- Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association.
- Ongoing assignment with Nightingale's List.
